Satellite Beach

I've been searching for good places in my new home area for sunrise shots. It's a little harder than I thought it would be. The beaches are very long and flat which leaves very little forground intrests. I gave my best shot Sunday morning. I tried using the water movement for the main intrests in the last three shots.

Nice work - and good thinking to just make the ocean itself the subject. I like what you did with the pathway in the first one but the other shots work quite well with the water being the sole subject.

Very cool Joe! Those long flat beaches can be a pain to compose compelling shots with as there is no rocks in the water for the waves to splash on, and there is no rocks along the beach itself for foreground interest. I think your #2 and 4 are the best way to deal with that issue, and I really like those.

Are there any piers/docks in the area? Any place where surfers hang out? Those would all be options to break up the flat beaches.

Thanks Jim, I shot at the Cocoa pier a few times . I was looking to break it up a bit I also shot a Surfer but they get in the water in just about darkness around here.

Nice set Joe. You have some wonderful light in all of them. #2 and #4 stand out for me. Nice action shot of the surfer with glow in the water.
