Hey Douglas.. Happy New Year. Your processing certainly gave a more dramatic image. Very nice.

Here is my salvage shot for this thread.
This is a shot of our river as the sun is coming up. It was pretty dull off the camera (iPhone 10 XR). I used LR to give the second image and then Topas sharpen AI to get the last image.

My salvage job is a shot from 2007 with a view of the Coquille Lighthouse in Bandon Oregon. This is the view using a telephoto lens from the south side of the Coquille River before I owned a better quality telephoto lens.

After some serious cleanup. I did some initial processing using DxO Photolab followed by more touchups in Lightroom and more yet in Photoshop.

I am enjoying learning about editing and even though I am a bit behind. I do find it satisfying to bring out the elements that made me take the photograph originally to the final product. I loved the day I was given to shoot this as it was a bit moody and I thought it added to the rock formations. But the result I found myself with was a totally blown out sky and just the rocks left.
