OK, here is a rework of an image from Sentinel Dome. I downloaded DXO and and playing with the trial version. My focus was on trying to keep the trees in the midground looking somewhat natural (that light on them was pretty intense) while also bringing out some details in the background. Overall process was DXO PureRaw3, apply a linear profile in lightroom along with some basic adjustments, bring into PhotoShop as a smart object, apply Sharpen AI and adjust contrasts with a raw filter on the smart object, a little dodging/burning and some contrast adjustments in luminance layers. Any thoughts are welcome.
This level of detail and the ability to push and pull hard on the adjustments in LR/ACR is what hooked me on PureRAW. You picked some hard light to work with but the result looks great. I love the detail in the mountains behind even in the shadows. Nice one.

Fantastic result Kyle a beautiful image beautifully processed.

other things that DXO does is lens distortion without the stretch marks. Be sure to turn off optical corrections in ACR

Good job with this Kyle. One trick, for overbright foliage, that I stumbled across by accident is: adjustment brush the color temperature set to the opposite of the foliage so in this case slightly blue and green, then intersect it with the color range of the brightest leaves. You can also desaturate it a little as well. Hope this helps. Ken
