Resting in the Fall

The Leaves are starting to Rest.
You can Rest at the Picnic Table.
Your car can Rest at the Rest Area.

From Minnesota about 5 days ago, as I was starting to work my way West to head to Colorado. One thing I will say is that in the Fall, some of the best areas to capture Fall Colors are in the various Rest Areas in the State. As opposed to California, Arizona, etc, in Minnesota they have Rest areas all over, not just on Freeways. And they are all nice sized areas, with lot's of room to roam for you, your children or your pets.

Next year, I think I am going to do a Fall series solely from the Rest Areas in Minnesota, I think it will be a fun project.

At this particular one, I focused primarily on the Picnic tables. I spotted this view from my truck, and then went out and spent a bit of time capturing the Fall Colors, but also working on capturing the Picnic tables scattered around the mini forest there.

That looks really nice. Looks like past peak at this point.
Thanks Jameel.

I would say it was peak, not past peak, or if it was, it was just barely past it. I had been further north which was past peak, all of the Maples were already gone. The color though was working it's way south, so I headed back to the middle of the state to catch where all of the colors were pretty much going strong. It was nice to have to full mix.
