Hard to get good exposure on an image taken from the ground at a flyover bird. This looks very good.

Learning to shoot or learning to fly. The bird is doing a pretty good job flying and the shooting isn't bad either. Hard exposure to get with bright skies. Probably need a faster shutter.

Thanks for the comments. Shutter speed 1/2000s. I am fighting against nature , the red kite shot is a crop approx 20% of the width of the frame so this is equivalent of 2,000mm lens and I am shooting against the light. The real answer is get closer on a brighter day but beautiful as the light can be in Scotland it is seldom bright. More to learn. Ken

It's not perfect, but it's still pretty good Ken.

It's not blurry, is the lens just a tad soft at it's long end? What lens were you using?
