Recipe #1 - Leading Lines

Second try now that I remember the rules.

This example of leading lines is from the confluence of Sweet Creek and the Siuslaw River near Florence Oregon. My intent in framing the shot was to use the narrowing river channel as the lead in for the rising mists and fall colors behind.

Edit: New crop.

Nice Alan, this is a great shot. I think the leading lines would be stronger though if you went to a pano crop and cropped out the sky from the reflection? The leading lines in this are so far back in the image, I am not sure how much they are leading.

Really nice image. Would second Jim's suggestion as it would make it much stronger - a 16x9 pano would be how I would do it.

I looked at this one after reading the comments and decided that I like the crop suggestions. I have added an updated version I would like to have replace the original for the contest.
