What I miss most as a result of moving from Illinois to Arizona is photographing Midwestern prairies. The greatest feature of prairies is that they have a succession of blooming flowers from early spring to late fall. This time of year prairies are awash with pink, yellow, purple, and white wildflowers and the grasses turn beautiful shades of russet. I am going to show some images of the fall prairie wildflowers here and if you indicate in your comments that you would like to see the wildflowers of the different seasons I will feature them in future posts.
