A few nights ago, while taking my dogs out for their evening walk, I noticed that the crescent moon was in conjunction with Jupiter and Venus. After shooting a quick shot with my iPhone, I thought a "proper" photo was justified, so I set up my Canon R5m2 on a tripod with a 70-200mm lens and knocked off a few shots. When I processed them I realised that a third planet was lined up that I hadn't even noticed--little Mercury! Over the next few nights, the moon's location (and size) shifted a bit, and eventually I was able to shoot the four celestial bodies in a nice line
during the evening's blue hour.
