After exploring the beaches around Luskentyre we decided to explore the small coves and beaches and explore the 16thC church at Rodel. Ken
This is 16thC St Clement's Church at Rodel at the Southern end of Harris. As you can see the weather had changed with even a tiny touch of rain.
After lunch we explored the tiny coves and beaches facing the Atlantic Ocean. However the sea was still almost flat calm although I managed to find a tiny amount of movement. The wave height was approx 2ft, it is presently 6ft and has been as high as 12ft last week. A 6ft swell would be very nice and I would like to return with some swell running, perhaps later in the year. I can get here in a long day from home but with petrol and ferry costs it makes the photographs expensive.
After a pleasant but photographically poor few hours we returned to our campsite, the weather had changed again.
Finally a couple of evening images.
