Thanks Jameel comments appreciated. I will have to go to the park and look at the tree(s) again. I think the bark is gone from the lower parts of the tree, either died or was stripped and the upper parts of the tree(s) still survived and kept growing.Nice find. In addition to the split, the tree trunk growing from light to dark is interesting.
Thanks John for the comments and I am glad you can see this image. I think Alan help me find the problem, it seems that sometime when I post directly from Flickr it wont all the image to show. It does not happen all the time, so going forward I will only post image from my download folder.Love this image—and I can see it! (No blue square with ?) Great find!
