Noise in the bushes

I was taking photos of birds, hiding along the lakeshore and being as quiet as possible I heard a noise to my left. This guy popped out of the bushes, we just looked at each other for a bit, I took some photo's, he was a good sport about it then left almost as quietly as he appeared. Always an adventure.

I see these guys a lot in my neighborhood but have never had an opportunity to get a shot of one of them as nice as this one.

Alan, Was only about 3' away. Would normally be a little bit skittish of them but think he was a younger one and just curious. Did not seem to pose any threat.

Nice shot, Roger. A pair of these guys wandered onto my patio at night last year while I was lounging. One stood up to investigate the light from the ceiling fan. I could only get blurry cell phone shots.
