NGC 3718

NGC 3718, also called Arp 214, is a galaxy located approximately 52 million light years from Earth in the constellation Ursa Major. It is either a lenticular or spiral galaxy.

NGC 3718 has a warped, s-shape. This may be due to gravitational interaction between it and NGC 3729, another spiral galaxy located 150,000 light-years away.

Wow Ed! That's an amazing looking galaxy. I think this one is too small for me, but I sure wish I could capture it as it's so cool looking.

This is very nice and a target that I don’t think I’ve seen very much of. It’s a pretty small object for my gear but seeing this I want to have a try. Thank you for sharing!

FYI, I croped this at least 50%. The original had much better detail but too small to see.... lol So I sacraficed some detail for image size.
