This is another much photographed location. The usual thing is to arrive during the golden hour and stand on the cliffs and photograph the lighthouse and the cliffs bathed in the warm sunset light. On this occasion the light collapsed as the sun sank into heavy clouds on the horizon just after this image was taken.
However I arrived much earlier and explored the "back" of the lighthouse. I was only 4feet above the North Atlantic on a rising tide and finally left after I got covered in spray, I had packed my camera away so it was only me that got wet. There was an offshore breeze and the sea was calm, otherwise I would not be stupid enough to climb down the cliffs to the water's edge.
Comments welcome Ken
