Morro Rock

I was up in Morro Bay yesterday stretching my wings and getting some clam chowder on my way up the coast to photograph Elephant Seals. So I tried out IR in Morro Bay with a few different compositions, this is one.

I am still playing with the IR, I got the processing down a bit, but there is a lot of variations to the IR look. I was hoping that the green in the water would turn orange/yellow but that didn't happen.

With the 720nm Filter my exposures are long, so there was movement to the Kayakers, but I thought that added some motion and interest to the image.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Pretty surreal result - not the usual view of Morro Rock. Considering how dark that filter is the motion of the kayakers isn't really all that noticeable at web resolution.

Thanks Alan, I figured it would look different, or at least I was hoping.

I might process another shot then because I wanted motion with the kayakers.

That came out vary unique, I’ve never seen the color combo like that before. I have to agree with Ben, kinda like a big ball of cotton candy. 😛
