I don't know. That area looked dry from Dante's. Other areas had water in them though.....I know this ridge line - nice light and vantage point.
Badwater has standing water in the lowest points right now?
Thanks, Oliver. Two years of planning on this one......Kurt, this is very nice lighting, love it.

Thank you, Douglas! When I first looked at this image, I thought that it sure looks familiar, but I couldn't figure it out. Then I realized it was of Zabriskie Point from the ridge to the right of the typical viewpoint. I didn't realize that there was a trail to the top of Manley Beacon. Nice job finding a different perspective, Kurt.
Death Valley has been getting rain about once a week over the last month. So I wouldn't be surprised that there are pockets of water out there.I know this ridge line - nice light and vantage point.

Thanks, Jim. Have fun on your trip!Awesome light Kurt! I like this change of angle from the normal view.
I am heading to Colorado next week, so Death Valley is on my list of possible stops. The weather forecasts for the whole Western US seems to be changing on a daily basis, so I am having to just look for ideas on where I might stop, and whether I take the I-40 to the I-25 or the I-15 to the I-70 to the I-25. So it's great to see your Death Valley image here, it's reminding me why I need to include it.
Thanks, Roger. It was a very quiet morning indeed!Love this Image, nice place for a morning shoot. I hope it was a relaxing as I feel seeing this.
