Moonshine in B&W

You fooled me Monika! I was thinking this was going to be a night time shot lit up by the moon! :)

This is sure very cool. What a super neat canyon. I really like the way the B&W works here, great choice.

Nice conversion.
Looks like moon shine with this B&W processing - nice one.

I expected the title would confuse people -- makes it fun!

Very nice light and dark contrast.
The narrows section was much longer than I'd expected, so it was a treat to find it kept going.

Thanks, everyone!

Great shot, and I really loved your story with the dog in your original Moonshine post. Funny that no-one else noticed, but what is up with the faint grid on the left hand shadowed wall? It is too regular to be natural.

I'm not seeing the faint grid you mention. Can you direct me to them? I actually had taken detail out & increased the blacks on that left wall. Oh, now that I look at it at 50%, I see them. Some kind of PP artifact. I'll see what I can do about them.

This is so inviting. I want to hike through....

I am seeing a light grid like pattern, though quite faint. It could be a natural. phenomenon, from seeing the similar checking on the right side. It is just uniform enough to be questioning.

Thanks, guys. Looks like it's back to the drawing board....... No, really, I appreciate it -- that's what this is for, right?

I finally got around to reprocessing it, trying to avoid the grid lines. I had to leave it really dark in order to do that. Then I Googled the issue: it's a GPU problem with Silver Efex and since my MacPro is a 2013, I can't update any more.........I may have to hook up my dock to the monitor & bring my laptop home from the office since I certainly can't afford the new Mac Pros.

edit: After 2 updates & about 3 hours (older one 1st, then the current one) I was able to update, so maybe I'll be able to use SilverEfex without the gridlines appearing)
