Moonrise over Mt. Hood

A couple of nights ago the winds shifted to coming out of the NW and scoured out enough of the wildfire smoke to give us a view of the mountains for the first time in weeks. There were a few clouds so I launched my drone hoping for a nice sunset. I turned my drone around to see what the mountains looked like and spotted this view of the last light on top of Mt. Hood. Single shot at 168mm. Still quite hazy from lingering smoke but still a welcome change from no view of the mountains at all.

C&C always welcome.

Now this is really sweet. It still looks a bit hazy up there with wildfire smoke, but that haze probably subdued the brightness of the moon enough to capture it like this with all of that nice moon detail.

Thanks Jim - definitely a fair amount of haze from wildfire smoke but this is the first time I could even see Mt. Hood at all in weeks.
