I did not realise before getting there that Melbourne has such a vibrant graffiti culture, though it's fairly restricted to the laneways near Flinders Street Station.
Indeed, 'chaos' is the apt word for much of it, but there are some real gems. And apparently it's always changing, since the city periodically paints over the walls, creating a fresh canvas for the taggers.
That's some amazing graffiti! Too much of the graffiti I see is gang related and just peoples or gangs initials? But graffiti like this is a real art form that can be so interesting to view.
And I am guessing there must be some 70 to 80 year old graffiti artists as I can't imagine any teenagers today knowing about Tom and Jerry.

I was wondering about the Tom & Jerry art, too (but I'm not 70-80 years old, and I know who they are, though I have to confess I have no idea which is the cat and which is the mouse--presumably Tom is the cat?).
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
