May is the time of the warbler migration in Ohio. They fly up from the south and gather at the shore of Lake Erie to store up energy for the trip across the lake. Here are some of my favorite warblers from that trip last year.

Different warblers come along at slightly different times. A particular species will usually stick around for a week or two at most.

Love these photos, #3 especially, something about him on a perch under the green canopy of the bush or tree gives it a very intimate feeling.
