M51 CY2024

Here's this years M51 from my backyard. The processed data is combined with about 3 hours from last year. Most of the data (82%) is under an essentially a full Moon.

Redcat 51, asi533mc pro (gain 101, -10C), Star Adventure GTi, Asiair plus, guided, EAF.
Optolong uv/ir filter; 246x180", 128x120" subs, No calibration frames. Bortle 5+, processed in Pixinisight

You did a really great job on this. Good job combining data. I like all of the detail you got and that wispy detail as well. I did get some time in on this last week but haven't had a chance to process it yet.

And on top of that this looks great for no calibration frames. I thought the 533 needed calibration frames? Or maybe I am thinking of one of the other cameras?

Thanks Jim. Capturing a lot of data helped to bring out more detail. The 533 has very low noise and no amp glow. The similar camera, 183, has the amp glow and needs darks.
