Amazing sky with awesome colors! Good thing you carried more than the 500mm! Were you originally hoping to photograph wildlife there?

You don't have a 2nd body already fitted with a wider lens on it? That's great you did have the wider lens with you, but I have found it pays when shooting long, to akways have a wider lens/camera combo with me.

There was wildlife around - thousands of geese and ducks, a few coyote, and 100s of bald eagles. Those were the goal of the trip.

Normally I would have. For this trip I really wanted to see how the S1RII performed as a wildlife camera so that is all I brought. I knew we had a chance at a decent sunrise but I wasn't expecting this.
