Loretto Chapel

I recently purchase the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 lens, but hadn't had an opportunity to get aquainted with it. So while showing some out of state friends around the plaza I was able to work my way to the Loretto Chapel. I like the results, but C&C's are always welcome.

The Loretta Chapel is a great place to try out that 14mm. Good job on these, nice sunstar in #1. And did you drop it down to f1.8 for the interior?

Sonny, this is a great set, looks like a great lens. So you are going to get serious about Milky Way?

Thanks Jim, that is like the best sunstar I've ever captured. I shot the interior images at f/2.8 which did work out well.

Thanks Ben, and yes the whole point of getting this lens is to get serious about capturing the Milky Way. I pulled the trigger earlier than I wanted to, so I would have it for our Padre Island trip. However my wife came of her horse a few weeks ago and turned out that she suffered a compression fracture in L3. So that trip got cancelled, but I am heading to Big Arsenic above the Rio Grande river gorge for a few days to work more with the new lens.

Looks like a really nice WA lens in the case of architectural subjects. Good set of images of this chapel.
Thanks Alan, I am always fascinated by the chapel and staircase every time I go.
