Lion Cubs

On our first day in the Mara we found a pride of lions feeding on a recent hippo kill. Hidden in the bushes, and occasionally making an appearance for a few nibbles, were 4 small lion cubs. Between the crowd of vehicles and the long grass it was impossible to really get any compelling photos of the cub. As this site was close to our camp, we went back before sunrise the next morning to find the cubs playing out in the open. This was my favorite photo, featuring 3 of them looking in the same direction. This was shot at ISO 10,000 so some cleanup was definitely necessary.

Very cool shot of these little critters. For all the creatures that look cute when they are little these don't seem to fit the bill. They already look dangerous. Great capture.
