Love those snow laden trees, I have been wanting to hike to a place in the Wasatch for a similar image, but the weather is not cooperating and snow will be in inches not feet.

The steep and the deep - classic conditions for white fun.

Is this a current shot? January has been a seriously wet month (well over 7" of rain at my house so far) so the high country should be buried pretty deep by now. You have been getting more precipitation in the northern part of the state than we have as well.

Alan, I shot this yesterday. We have been getting a lot of precipitation, but too much rain at pass level. Freezing level goes back up today.

Wow that is some snow! I am glad you guys get out in the snow so I can see gorgeous images like this. You won't catch me EVERRRRR in the snow! I am a true desert rat!

Lovely shot, Jim - you really captured the 'out there' feel of isolation.

The snow couldn't hang more perfectly from those trees.
