Thanks Ben.Neat
Thanks Jim. Still using my Sigma 60-600mm. I will probably go out again on Saturday night. Supposed to be a clear night. Seeing I haven't sold my Meade 8" LX85, I'm going to use that for imaging. I may hit the Triplet again, but I don't think I'll be able to fit all three in. The 8" is 2032 mm. Even though I bought it only in November and used it a handful of times, I already have it on the market for something in the 1000mm range.I have not captured Leo's Triplet. Wow! You have made me jealous Yervant!
I am guessing when I can find clear skies again (not looking promising) I am going to put Leo's Triplet on my list.
I think you did pretty good here.
Thanks Jameel.Very nice. I am learning new DSOs every day around here.
20032mm is really long for sure! It would be good for planets? Tracking would have to be right on I bet. Thanks Jim. Still using my Sigma 60-600mm. I will probably go out again on Saturday night. SCT's really are good for planets and DSO's. Tracking does have to be spot on.20032mm is really long for sure! It would be good for planets? Tracking would have to be right on I bet.
Thanks Chuck.Good shot for the short amount of time.
Thanks Alisa.super cool!
Thanks Mike. I'm new to Astrophotography and still learning.Nicely captured on this group. Probably the best galaxy group out there for moderate magnification. One small comment is that to my eye you might have taken the black level down too far and lost some faint detail in the outer halo of the galaxies. It is easy to do (I do it too sometimes) as we expect deep space to be black, but in actuality it isn't fully black. You might play with this a little and see if there are some more detail that you can get to pop out on it.
