Leo Triplet

I shot the Leo Triplet in 2019 during my first year of Astro. I think it was with a 400mm photo lens.

March 11 2023 I decided it was time to try again with a scope and astro camera. March 11 was a clear night with terrible transparency here in Eugene but just good enough to try. So I put the rig to work and managed to catch some photons! I am pretty happy with the result. At least I can keep the gear gainly employed. :>)

Scope - ES ED102mm f/7 @709mm
Filter - UVIR cut
Camera - Asi533mcp
Mount - CEM40EC
Controller - AsiAir
90 x 180s ~ 4.5hours integration

Hey Andy, I am glad you got to capture this again. I think it looks great! And this is a good reminder that I need to get some data on the Leo Triplet too!
