Lava River, Pulama Pali

Image taken a few days ago on one of my lava photography tours to the Pulama Pali, Hawaii. We have two types of lava flows. The old A‘a flow on the left of the active lava river and the old Pahoehoe flow on the right. As of right now, our volcano is going through an inflation and lava activity is good. I am new to this sight, very excited to be apart of it and watch it grow.

Congratulations Focal World.

Whoa - I want to see something like this firsthand. Beautiful.

Nice way to introduce yourself.
Hi...yes so funny, without an image. How embarrassing. Maybe I got to excited to post before I should be reading how to post. LOL. I will get it. LOL. Nice to meet you AlanLichty

Hey Tom,

Welcome to FocalWorld! It's awesome to have you join us here.

And I think, posting the first thread without a photo is kind of a right of passage here! Trust me, you have not been the only one to do that. :)

And what a sweet shot. I like that steely blue color contrasted with the red. This is really nice!

Hey Jim,

Thank you. Its typical me to figure things out before reading and I always get myself in trouble doing it. Happy to be here and it may take time before I get this but very excited.

Aloha

Nice contrast and shutter speed. I know this sounds morbid, but I'm seeing a bunch of evil red eyes of melting faces on the right of image. Intriguing.
