Late in the Sunrise

A panorama of the tail end of a really nice sunrise in early February. The main standout feature of this sunrise was the shadow of Mt. Hood across the skies which stuck around right up to the point where the sun peeked out above the horizon. Moments after I shot this sequence the sun obliterated the color show and overwhelmed the view of Mt. Hood. Three panels at 168mm.

Thanks Jim - I'd sure love another sunrise like this one. It was amazing from the first glow on the horizon until just after I shot this sequence.

Thanks John - I ended up with 160 captures on this particular morning as it was nearly non-stop colors exploding in the sky for around 15 minutes or so.

Thanks Monika - the shadow was very well defined earlier in the sunrise color show but by the time I took this shot was rapidly dispersing into a big vague shadow.
