Late fall findings.

In an effort to squeeze the last bits of colour and growth out of the scene before the white stuff takes over I found these here in Slocan B.C.

A family of mushrooms working away at decomposing the forest floor. (This is a 30 image stack).

These leaves are stubbornly hanging onto their centre red brilliance as they decompose from the edges to the centre.

A few hanging Elderberries waiting to feed some winter birds.

Very nice set Trent - I like the level of detail in all of these. I presume you used focus stacking on the whole set? Does your camera assemble the focus stack and output a JPEG image?

One of the reasons I moved to the Pacific NW was to escape winters in Utah. I don't have to shovel rain

Every once in a while we do see some snow here but it's rare it sticks around very long if at all. I'm one of the only people in the neighborhood who actually has a snow shovel and knows how/when to use it.
