Last image from Deepdale

This is my favourite from this shoot. It is taken as the first sunlight starts to appear above the surrounding hills and illuminate the valley floor. The "sunlight" on the left of the beck is photoshop work, the images taken when the sun illuminated the valley floor were just too harsh.

I am including my first shot of the day showing the real dynamic range from sunlit snow to dark valley floor. Ken

Quite a dramatic DR to recover and a very nice result from your processing. You did an impressive job of constructing realistic light in the darkness of the original.

Wow Ken! Sorry I missed this one with traveling.

It's really great that you included the original as well, because man, that's some crazy dynamic range. You go back 20 years and most of us were forced to use ND Grads to deal with that much difference in light. But today, we have software powerful enough to handle it for us.

And I really like your edited image. What a beautiful location.
