3 images taken in Argyll in the West of Scotland. Unusually for me I was with a dozen other photographers who had met up to explore this photographically unpopular location. The lochside image was a Damascene moment for me firstly because it was taken with a 200mm lens when everyone else was using wide angles and when I went to process it I started pushing the sliders to the left and not my usual to the right. I used to produce images that said "wow" with everything popping and although they can have instant appeal doing this to images when they didn't actually look like that in reality produces images that do not look correct or at least to my eyes they do, we are all different and long may it remain so.

This image is taken on the hillside off to the left the Gaelic name is "The Beasts Cauldron" but I think the beasts are cattle not the devil. This is actually 3 images of different shutter speeds combined taken just as the sun started to shine on the water, a few minutes later and whatever magic was there had gone as the sun removed any subtlety.
Lastly Puck's Glen this part of the day was the most frustrating as time pressures forced me to move on while I was still contemplating where to place everything in the images.
This was only my third visit to this part of Scotland despite being born less than 20 miles away. Ken
