Laowa 10-18mm or Sony 12-24mm?

Just debating between these two. Laowa seems very interesting for its extremely small size, price and smaller filter adaptability, any thoughts? I think I'm pretty much sold on Laowa.

I have heard some good things about the Laowa lenses. I was looking seriously into them last year before I opted for the Sigma 14mm f1.8.

That's a great lens, I've that, will be dedicated for astro. This one (laowa 10-18mm) I'm considering as travel lens for landscapes because of it's small size and zoom option,

You guessed it. Yeah, I am just using it for my astro work. So yeah, that's where the 10-18mm would be great for a travel lens.

Hi,

Just curious why aren't you considering the Sony 10-18 F/4 ???

I've been shooting with it for about a year and have been pleased with it.

Take Care,

The Laowa is not going to be as sharp as the Sony 12-24 by all accounts and will have more distortion. Good sun stars on the Laowa, though.
