Landscape Images from the Midwest

I have decided to post a series of images from the Midwest where I lived for 50 years. I know that most of the people posting here are from the western US so I thought you might enjoy seeing something different and probably unexpected. This first one is Lake of the Clouds in Porcupine Wilderness State Park in the UP of Michigan.

Thanks, Jim. I didn't have much choice of places to photograph during my early years. So the trick was to make the images as beautiful as possible. Nonetheless there are some fantastic places to photograph but not as numerous as in the west.

Great image!

AS one who grew up in Illinois, when I go back I see a lot of photographic opportunities. Especially up north around Lake Superior. You just have to get out of the western US mental box and expand your mind!
