Lagoon Nebula at 13,000 feet

I captured this last Sunday night at Black Bear Pass in the San Juan Mountains. It's a fun 4x4 trail to get you there, and once you are there, no one is around at night. It's almost 13,000 feet where I was, in the middle of the mountains. I haven't looked on an Bortle Scale maps, but I would guess it's Bortle 2, maybe Bortle 1.

I captured this with the Seestar S50. I didn't bring my regular telescope as my goal was Milky Way photography once the shades got pulled and it turned dark. So I wanted something quick and easy. I am using it in the newer EQ mode, which really makes a difference.

I shot this as a 1.4 Mosaic in the SeeStar and I got about 2 hours out of it. Processing it, I drizzled it 3x in Pixinsight, so I ended up with some very nice resolution.

Seestar S50 - 1.4 Mosaic at 30 second subs for a little over 2 hours.
Processed the Mosaic in Pixinsight and WBPP.
(WBPP did a great job combining the mosaic too)

All comments are welcome,

Jim

PS. Just a straight forward OSC image from the SeeStar.

PSS. I was blown away by the level of detail in this with the SeeStar in EQ mode. Being at 13,000 feet probably helped too, but I am thinking the EQ mode is helping the SeeStar get better detail.

Jim, as you say, this little rig has come a LONG way since even you bought one. Amazing results. Doesn't hurt that you were upm above so much air either. Great image.
