The Long Eared Owl just caught this little vole for breakfast; it's a bit challenging to get this shot, the owl only comes out either before the sunrise, or after the sunset, very difficult to track in in flight.

Hi, Jim. I think so, most owls are nocturnal hunters I believe. The camo-feather makes it difficult to spot amongst the trees, not to mention this tiny bird, weighing less than 1 pond with a huge wing-span fly silently.
