A group of juvenile Cormorants gathered together on a point at bird lake in Denver City Park. I got this one bird that was closest to the near shore of the lake in sharp focus and the the other birds less sharp.
That's typical Larry, your DOF decreases as the Focal Length increases. So I would expect the birds behind that front one to be out of focus. Which is actually a cool effect as that front bird really draws the attention.
Hi Alan these guys are out of the nest and feeding on their own. I don't know about Cormorants, but Blue Heron stop feeding their chicks when they are ready to fly and they are forced to fly out of the nest to get their own food; tough love!

There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
