First off, this is a fantastic shot of a cute little guy. We don’t have these in central Alabama but I’ve seen them for years on the trails in the Smoky Mountains. Until I learned their name I called them Beggar Birds for their tendency to sit around our feet during hiking breaks and look expectantly at our trail mix.

Do you see those in American Fork? I never saw any of them until I moved up to the NW but this time of year they are everywhere in our backyard.

This was in Spokane, yes, we don't see them in Utah.
