Since I’m new here I wanted to make a post introducing myself with a few of my favorite landscape photos.

My name is Aaron Rashid, I’m 30 years old and live in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I’ve been shooting for almost 5 years now With landscapes being my favorite subject.

I’m always hoping to connect with new people so feel free to get in touch with me any time! And if you ever have any critiques, I’m open minded and know I still have a lot to learn about photography. I hope if you see this, we’re able to connect at some point! 😊

Delightful way to introduce yourself Aaron - a fun set of images. I very much like the moonset sequence at Factory Butte and the comet shot at Joshua Tree although the other images are quite good as well. Welcome aboard.

Hey Aaron, it's so great to have you here! And I have to say first off, maybe it's us that will learn from you! :)

You have a really great eye, and I would say you have some really nice technique too. Your #1 image with that leaf is really awesome. I love that low down view point and the limited DOF. That's something I wish I did more of, but I forget about it until I see a great photo like yours, and I say I have to do it next time! But then next time I would be in a position to do it, my mind is somewhere else.... :)

Love your creativity with the moon and Factory Butte. The Salton Sea must be the one with that swingset you told me about, great timing with the birds, I think they add a small but cool visual point of interest in the image. And Neowise! I wonder if we will ever see a comet as cool as that one again. You did a great job here. When Neowise was out, I happened to be out on one of my travels. I can't even recall all of the places I captured it. But in the couple of weeks it was up I captured it the Tetons, in the Rocky Mountains, in Arches, and about 3 other places I can't even remember right now. It was kind of like a pilgrimage. :) So I always have a soft spot when I see someone elses Neowise images.

As Ben said, you are going to be an awesome addition to the forum here, it's so great to have you.

Welcome! I’m still new myself, after meeting Jim a month ago while shooting a sunset at Mono Lake.

You have a great eye! That photo of the Salton Sea kills me. Perfect timing. I have a photo of that same set of swings, but not nearly as cool as yours.

I can't thank you enough Jim! This is really a great community, so thanks again for inviting me to be a part of it!

I'm a big fan of wide angle depth of field shots. I have quite a few images like that I'll share soon :)

The one of factory butte was all being in the right place at the right time. We showed up to the location to shoot sunrise and happed to have the perfect lineup for the moonset right after. And that is the swing I was telling you about, couldn't have been luckier to get the birds like that. I would love to see some of your Neowise photos! Sounds like quite the adventure!

I really appreciate it, I'm really grateful to get to be part of the community.

Thank you! Sounds like you and I had similar run ins with Jim. I just ran into him last week in Joshua tree.

Thank you so much man, I couldn’t believe the timing of the imitate with the birds flapping right above the swing. It’s definitely one of my favorites so far. I’m sure your shot is still great though. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your work!
