I went looking for fall color in the Eastern Sierra

I found plenty of fall color at Lake Sabrina near Bishop, CA this weekend, but the peak color took a back seat to what I saw on the way home. I was treated to a WILD sunset, one that I'd put into a list of Top 5 sunsets I've seen since moving here more than 5 years ago.

A beam of golden light poke through the cloud cover over the Sierra and straight through a curtain of rain over the White Mountains. This light created an intense rainbow in the shape of a block, one that showed ALL the colors. I hadn't seen this before. Needless to say it was quite exciting, and I'm pretty sure every vehicle on that road stopped at one point to take pictures.
