For Premium Members it's easy since you have Upload capability.

To start a new Thread so you can post a photo(s) follow the steps listed below.

1. Go to the Forum you want to post a photo in, for example Landscape.

2. Click on the Button "Create Thread" in the upper right corner.

A New Page will appear

3. Type in your Title

4. Type in the Message area with notes and information about the Photo you are posting.

5. If you want to have a photo from your Gallery be in this thread, then Click on the Camera icon at the top of the message area. (It says Gallery Embed if you mouse over it). Pick your Photo from the Popup window that shows.

5a. If you want to just upload a photo directly from your Computer, click on Attach Files and then a popup window will allow you to Browse on your computer and pick a photo.

5b. Once you choose a photo, you will see it as a thumbnail below the message. Click on Insert: Full Image to then place the photo into your message box. - Note: the Photo will be placed in the message area where ever your cursor was last at.

6. At the bottom of the Message area click on the button Create Thread and it will be finished and posted.

In practice:
Normally you would want to type your message, then press Enter twice to get the Cursor a bit below the text you typed. If for some reason the photo is too close or you uploaded multiple photos and you wanted text in between them, it's easy to just click into the message box next to the photo and then press Enter to then space out the photos. Once you have tried it a time or two, it's easy to get the hang of it.

For Registered Members without the Premium Membership:

If you are a Registered Member Follow the steps below. If you have not Registered yet (It's FREE to Register) you will not be able to create Threads or Posts. And hopefully you will see the value to this Forum and Upgrade to a Premium Membership and help support us. Premium Members can Upload Photos directly from their Computers.

To Insert a Photo as a Registered Member:

To start a new Thread so you can post a photo(s) first click on the Button "Create New Thread".

1. When creating or editing a post, Above the message box you will see an Icon that looks like a photo, if you Mouse Over it, it will say "Image". Click on it.

2. A small window will popup, in the area next to the words "URL:" you will paste or type the website address where you have your photo online.

For PBASE, that URL could be:
http://www.pbase.com/Myphotography/image/164795893

You would Paste or type that in the URL.

But very importantly, you will need to add ".jpg" to the end of it or the forum won't know it's a photo. So the example URL will look like this:
http://www.pbase.com/jimfoxphotography/image/164795893.jpg

3. Click on the "Insert" Button, and the Image will be inserted into your post.

For FLICKR:
1. In the Lower Right corner below the Photo on Flicker click on "Share Photo"
2. Then select "BB code" and Copy the code shown
3. Then Paste that code into the FocalWorld post/thread

For FaceBook:
  1. Scroll to the image in facebook (I'm doing this on the computer. It is a little trickier on a phone)
  2. Click on the image to open the post full screen
  3. Right-click on the image (or whatever the apple equivalent is) and select "copy image address"
  4. Go to your focal world post and click the insert image icon (looks like a little landscape image)
  5. Past the copied link into the image URL field in the image dialog box and then click on insert
  6. The image should show up in your post

Also Note, that the photo will be inserted at the point of where the Cursor is in the Message
