I agree with Alan, I am really glad we opened up this separate Astro Forum, there is such great work being posted right now from you, Andrew and Mike. We just need to get the word out to a few more Astro guys and get them to start posting here too.

8 inch scope at F2.8. Six 5 minute exposures were stacked and processed. SBIG self guiding camera: temperature was -10 degrees F.
Mount was a Takahashi EM-200

Camera temperature was -10 (on astro cameras you can control the temperature to reduce noise)-10F?????

Excellent result - as mentioned above, those diffraction spikes on the bright stars really add to the result. This 'close-up' treatment of the Horsehead is really nice. One of the fun parts about astroimaging, is that many targets look great at many different magnifications, with new detail showing up when imaged at higher focal lengths, until the effects of tracking and seeing start to degrade things. You have gotten some great extra detal out of this image for certain. Worthy of the Daily Featured Status for sure!

Jim, The camera has cooling so that was the ccd chip temp.
