Hooded Merganser

Another picture during last week's snow showers. There is a nice view of the creek up the road and I found out there are a pair of these mergansers nesting there. On this occasion I only saw the male but his mate couldn't have been far. I would have liked to have my 600mm with me but 300 worked to get some of the neat background gcolors in there too. C&C welcome.

It's amazing how it is still snowing in places. Such crazy weather. This puts that bird in perspective nicely.
