Hints of Fall in a Rainforest

Fall in the coastal forests of the northwest is much more subtle than the wild color shows other parts of the country but they are fall colors nonetheless and quite different from the other seasons for those of us who live nearby. The scene below is one I came across yesterday along the south fork of the Alsea River while traveling out to the Oregon Coast.
