Hidden Pond

This image was about 2 years in the making. I knew what I wanted in my mind but capturing that accurately and at the right time was challenging. I finally settled in on a "compressed" look which worked with what I had envisioned. Captured on Kodak Tmax 100, Nikon FM2n back and Nikon Series E 75-150/3.5 lens. Scanned with Kodak Pakon f135+, slight adjustments in LR (mimicking what would normally be done in the darkroom). I have this printed fairly large (with a 5x7 crop) in my office, the 35mm Tmax 100 handling enlargement very well.

Awesome Jon! Love your use of film here, and your process flow, how this was several years in the making. It's a great reminder that while we often shoot images with little forethought, there is a lot to be said for thinking and planning too on how to achieve our vision.

Simply beautiful - and I love the result. I can see why you have this as a large print in your office. Very nice work.
Thank you Alan. I had forgotten about this image and my wife was looking through my online storage and suggested I print this. She hates B&W so I knew I must have a decent image if she wanted me to print it, lol!

Beautiful B&W!
Thank you! :)

Thanks Jim! Sometimes I leave a location knowing that I achieved what I wanted however more times than not, I leave knowing I am going to return as I am not satisfied with what was captured. Such is our quest :)
