Herring season is here again and these boats have been parked not far off shore here for a few days.
Thanks Ben, it was a nice sight at night lights from the boats out on the strait. It was a clear night and you could see them likely 20 miles away.Really like the last one.
Hi Alan thanks, the first day of the run there were thousands of gulls.Looks like the seagulls are parked nearby as well. I like the last one with the lights and reflections as well.
Hi Debbie if you know where Vancouver Island Canada is that is where I am. The boats are in the strait of Georgia between the island and the mainland. The mainland is about 25 miles from the island. The mountains in the background are called the Coast mountains on the mainland. I am about 100 ft from the ocean so that is my daily view lolNice shots Glen! Where is that?
Hi Alisa thank you. I took a lot that evening I may need to post some of them another timeI love the last image!!
Hi Jim thank you, I retired here in Late 96, just love it. I think anyone who likes water and nature would like it here. The boat in that first image looks like a ghost ship, or one that could collapse at any moment. My favorite I think is #3, but it's great seeing them all.
Living on the island sure must be fun. I visited there once years ago, taking the ferry from Seattle up to there. It was a blast.
