Heron Chick Preparing to Fly

The chick did not fly on this attempt, he flapped his wings a lot but would not let go of the branch. He then turned and made hi way back up to the nest. I came back about an hour later and the nest of 3 chicks was empty. Alas, I missed the madian flights!
