I captured the Helix Nebula, NGC 7293 out in Joshua Tree National Park in Bortle 3 skies with the ZWO Seestar S50. This little machine does such a great job with these Planetary nebula it seems. I have only had it a week, and it's going to be a great tool in the tool box.

Seestar S50 - Smart Telescope
293 - Lights at 10 secs (darks combined when captured)
Light Pollution Filter = On
Stacked and Processed in Pixinsight
Final processing in Photoshop

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Wow, that is really impressive! I've seen others use this and similar gear but this example is the best I've seen so far.

I really appreciate it John! It won't replace my regular astro gear, but it was an inexpensive way for me to get a 2nd setup, so I can image 2 things at once. And it will be handy when I am on the road traveling, and I have a clear sky and want to image it, but am too tired to spend an hour putting up my regular astro gear. I can plop this down and I am imaging within 5 minutes.
