Growing like weeds

There is an area in our yard where a ground cover like plant is spreading. It has these small flowers (about half an inch in diameter) which are quite pretty. Not sure what they are, but I like them.

Very pretty flower, the yellow stamens against the pink/purple of the petal works really well and you have a great background

Pretty flower. My first thought was that it was part of the periwinkle family but the pointed ends of the petals doesn't match the shapes I see for that ID.

Thanks Ben. The background was selectively darkened to make the flower stand out.
