Great Start to the Day

We had a small storm move in yesterday morning and it arrived overhead just as the sun was coming up so perfect for an outstanding morning color show. This is a quick panorama zoomed in on Mt. Hood as the colors were just getting started. Two panels at 166mm. Lots more to come.

Thanks Michael - this came out of the first images I got in what turned out to be about 15-20 minutes worth of colors where most of the sky lit up. There will be more from this sunrise once I get them processed

Thanks John - these were the earliest colors down near the horizon so a telephoto panorama made the most of what was visible.

Thanks Doug - I zoomed in on those lenticular clouds as soon as my drone was up in the air and I could see them. They were still visible when I shot the wide view panorama a bit later in today's post. I don't often get clear views of Mt. Hood during the summer months so this was a nice treat.
