Last Friday's sunrise was a nice way to start the day over the Portland/Vancouver metro area. Single panel at 24mm with a pano crop.

Truly glorious! I think that's the best word for this Alan. The sunrise is almost shouting out to the world!

I wonder if you cropped off half of the ground layer if it would strengthen it?

Beautiful view and the clouds and light is a landscape photographer's dream. I would try a pano crop losing a part of the bottom.

Thanks Jim - It was a glorious scene to wake up to. This is a 16x9 pano crop that entirely came off of the bottom.

Thanks Jameel - cropping from the bottom with a 16x9 crop was the first thing I did which brought the horizon down from halfway in the scene down to the bottom third. I like the fall leaves that are just visible in the early light down in front. The part I chopped off didn't have anything like that to offer.
